Community-Sourced Towel Guide
There's nothing like a bathroom renovation to force you to take a hard look at your towels. Mine were a hodgepodge of grad school survivors, random gifts, and piecemeal purchases — none of which matched, and at least a quarter of them have makeup stains I can’t pin on anyone else in my house (yet).
I want to feel like a real grown-up with matching towels, so I polled our community about their tried-and-true favorites. A few hundred responses came in, and here are the top contenders, all recommended at least a dozen times:

Lands End was the frontrunner — specifically the Supima Cotton and the Turkish Luxe. They offer monogramming, and I love a monogram. One community member even said she orders them monogrammed for herself and her husband individually. No notes.
Target towels were recommended a few dozen times, with the Threshold Spa Plush and Threshold Performance Plus being the top picks. Part of my hodgepodge collection is a few Performance Plus towels, and they’ve held up great.
Restoration Hardware is the recommendation that caught me most off guard, and even moreso that it made the Top 5. Our community loves their Turkish Towels. Multiple women mentioned they run great sales, so keep an eye out!
Frontgate Resort Collection are not only a Top 5 pick for our community, but also a 2025 Wirecutter pick, so they must be good! They come in almost 30 colors and offer monogramming.
Quince towels from the Turkish Ultra Luxe and Turkish Waffle Terry lines round out our Top 5. I’ve been pretty impressed with the Quince items I’ve tried, so these are on my short list.
Special mention: Costco members came out of the woodwork to recommend the Charisma line of towels. If you’re a member, they have over 7,000 reviews with a 4.5-star average!
